Artist Statement

Morning Glories in Taos, New Mexico grow in altitudes of 7000’ with little rain. In spite of adverse conditions, these diminutive survivors bloom. Each plant inspires a design that buds, blooms, furls out in full tendril, life-size in one piece of jewelry, capturing that single precious moment when its life force is at its most sublime.

Morning Glory Circlet

Circlets are forged in editions of four thus honoring the four scared directions of Taos Pueblo where this series emerged.

Morning Glory Bracelet

The sinuous Taos Morning Glory bracelet incorporates an arbor like frame: large, light and intriguing to the eye.

Morning Glory Spoon

Each Taos Morning Glory baby rattle or spoon handle frames a still-life of buds, leaves and blossoms. Delicate in appearance these are sterling strong to be passed on to the next generation.
